PRESS RELEASE - STATE REP CANDIDATE MCMILLIN ENDORSED BY SEIU HEALTHCARE
First-time candidate Jen McMillin has received the endorsement of the SEIU Healthcare, a union of over 92,000 dedicated workers in childcare, home health care, nursing homes, and health systems.
SEIU Healthcare is the fastest-growing union of healthcare, childcare, home care, and nursing home workers in the Midwest. Uniting workers who provide vital care to our states’ children, seniors, patients and people with disabilities, we are committed to quality care and quality jobs for home care, hospital, nursing home, and child care workers.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of SEIU Healthcare and have the chance to stand up for its membership,” McMillin said. “As an advocate for the fair income tax, our service providers, and those with disabilities, I am committed to protecting benefits to those that provide our most needed services and fighting for our shared values.”
Jen McMillin is running to replace Representative Bill Mitchell in the 101st district, which includes Piatt, DeWitt, Macon, Champaign, and McLean counties.
